The Sun is Deceptive

I went to California expecting to leave with the tan I've been waiting for all summer, and then it was too cold to go to the beach. The one day I went with my cousin Jessi we didn't even bother to put on bathing suits, but we braved it until the wind picked up and it got too cold.

I actually got way more sun in Colorado than California. Now I'm back in the humidity where I'll slowly lose whatever color I got as I hide in front of the air conditioner. The good news: Jessi just moved to Brooklyn, so we can hang out all the time! Maybe I'll have to drag her to a beach out here on the east coast so we can actually suit up and appreciate the water.

Santa Cruz

I'm back in New York after a lovely vacation that I wish didn't have to end! As much as I love the city, it's hard to come back after being in California. My mom and I walked down to the coast everyday, which meant braving a monstrous hill back up to my aunt and uncle's house. I snapped these pics one afternoon on the way home.

This picture doesn't do the hill justice. It's a steep one, trust me.

Mental Hygiene

I'm not only taking a long overdue break from New York, I'm also getting away from this freaking computer. As much as I'm enjoying this self-indulgent blogging experience, the internet is taking over my life.
