Oysters + Absinth

We had dollar oysters during happy hour and expensive fancy absinth drinks at Maison Premiere in Williamsburg the other night. I have officially decided I am not a fan of oysters. No matter how much cocktail sauce I smother them in, they will always be cold flavorless slime not worth smothering in something delicious like cocktail sauce, which is why I insisted on ordering three shrimp--for which I received an appropriately smug look from the waiter. Nevertheless, the atmosphere was very Gatsby-esque, and one expensive absinth drink does the work of three normal drinks.
